The final stage of the every technological process of carbamide synthesis is getting of carbamide granuls. Let's have a look at it in detail.

There are two principal ways of making granuls:

• melt prilling 
• granulation

Melt prilling is a process of cooling of carbamide drops, being in free-fall and their crystallization in counter-current flow of gooling air. 

Granulation comes to dispersion and following multiple layering of melted carbamide onto seed solid particles of unconditioned product, creating spheric granuls for later cooling.

The most popular way to get granuls of nitric fertilizers, including carbamide, is the way of melt prilling. In the end of ХХ century there appeared product, obtained as a result of granulation in "boiling" layer. The new product differed from the overage one.

The main advantage of granulated carbamide is high solidity of granuls, and naturally, low caking properties while shipping. However, invesment in granulation unit is 1,5-1,8 times higher than for prilling technology, pretty large area and high expenditures are needed. But for today rate of growth of granulated product overcomes the prilled one.
